FYI - 22/08/11

Hey guys, long time no post eh?
So, i've had to remove all my sims games from my computer for the moment. Bummer, right? My tower is 11 years old and suffering because it's filled with so much crap, it needs a re-install as well as a new graphics card, more ram and at some point it'd be great to chuck in a sata drive. Anywho, it's going to be a long wait for all of these things, it's been a long enough wait as it is as i've wanted all these things since I was heavily into simming. As a jobless 16 year old from a poor family, these long waits are to be expected. A lot has changed in the simming world during my absence it seems, I gather this site isn't so popular anymore so i'm not sure if i'm wasting my time typing all this, but I will come back and update this site at some point. As soon as I have the hardware necessary to run the game properly (it's always been painfully slow, urging me to give up playing it) I will return and try to bring you guys something interesting. Just to let you guys know, I can't access my email anymore because AOL has decided to be stupid and lock me out of my account. Now, to wrap this up i'ma inform you guys that i'm pretty sure this site has been running a total of 5 years, it may be 4 as I forget but still it's a long bloody time and not a lot to show for it. I apologise for this and I hope to make up for it someday. If I had a luxury high-spec machine like I dream of, I can assure you i'd be using it to give you guys lovely stuff but alas I do not. I wish you guys all the best, i'll try and get something together soon but I can't make promises as it all relies on whatever computer parts my fathers friends decide to chuck out and if they're compatable with my machine.

UPDATE 17/08/10 - IT AIN'T OVER...

..until I say it's over. Okay, i know... it's been over a year without an update. Yes, i have slacked when it comes to simming. In my defence, i have a very busy social life and school to keep up with. Now, todays offerings have been sitting around on my hardrive since sometime last year, i just haven't had the time to get pictures and such together and organise the files. It was on my long to do list, i've finally got round to doing it (: lucky for you guys. I present you with a long awaited 2 AF Casuals, 1 TF Casual and 2 New Meshes. It's not a mammoth update, but it's something, for now. I have some other stuff to upload but that will be a surprise for another day, there's also a couple of things i should add to the sale. People have been emailing me asking for the old brightly coloured mac/trenchcoat things and the 'dada' top and skirt i made, so i'll stick those in there to save your fingers some unnecessary typing.

I'M NOT DEAD...

...yet. In the great words of Mr.Marshall Mathers "i'm not ready to leave, it's too scary to die." Well, it's been almost a year my social/school life has been my top priority and i haven't had much time for simming but i'm not ready to give up on Get Gorgeous just yet. I think the sites been running for about 3 years now and although my skills and my influences have changed a lot over the years, i've had fun with it. This is the interesting part :) I have some stuff kicking around that's been sitting on my hard drive for quite a while that i want to release soon and i'm working on some new stuff so anybody thats still playing sims 2 might be interested in that, as for sims 3 it looks pretty nifty, i don't have it yet but i'm considering getting it, i highly doubt it will run well on my comp though. I also am considering revamping the site, when i get round to it. Look out for an update in the near future :)

Grrr... damn computers.

I know i haven't updated in a few months, I do have some projects i'm working on but i also have less free time because i'm starting my GCSE's soon. I also had a problem with my computer which turned out to be a busted stick of ram, which was making things crash and in the end the computer wouldn't even boot up so i had to take it out and now i don't have enough ram to run the game. I'll be getting a new bigger stick of ram soon and hopefully the game will run better.
